Rauschenberg
This is called Coca Cola Plan. I like the sculpture because it is a combination of items. I like the wings and how it makes coca cola seem powerful. The various array of media used is interesting and creative. I like how one coke bottle is plain, while others seem to have paint in them. The sketching on the wood is cool. The words below say "Plan, Lay out stretcher on floor, match markings and join."
Duchamps
Fountain is one of Duchamp’s most famous works and is widely seen as an icon of twentieth-century art. The original, which is lost, consisted of a standard urinal, usually presented on its back for exhibition purposes rather than upright, and was signed and dated ‘R. Mutt 1917. I think this era of ready made art work is the best because is simple, lazy, but ingenious at the same time.
