The Venus of Willendorf was created between 25,000-20,000 B.C. and is located in Vienna at the Museum of Natural History. This tiny statuette represents the human anatomy, more specifically a heavy set woman since it has large breast and a bulging stomach. An interesting part to me about this sculpture is how the head appears to be made out of tiny repeating spheres. Also, this sculpture was known to be one of the earliest human figures made, which makes me believe that artist had an attraction toward larger women.
