When I first saw this figure, I knew that I had seen it before . It was featured in the movie, the 13th Warrior with Antonio Banderas, which is based on Beowulf. I think it represents female sexuality or seduction. It is a faceless nude figure. Venus means love and sexuality. It is interesting to see the evolution of sexuality. The figure symbolizes what people in the past considered to be the perfect woman, one with big breasts and wide child bearing hips. It's interesting how the figure is not a whole person but parts.
