George Segal was an American sculptor and painter who
created in the Pop art era. George was famous for using plaster dipped bandages
to create life sized sculptures. This piece is called The Dancers 1971 -1982. I
chose this piece due to how life like it is and also the amazing work of
balance that George was able to achieve with this piece. I also like that it is
actual life sized which really gains the human feel to the piece.
