David is a statue that was constructed by the artist Michelangelo. It is not known the exact year that the statue was constructed. However, it is known that it was made sometime between 1501 and 1504 inside the renaissance era. David was constructed with the purpose of representing one of the prophets. It would eventually represent the defense of civil liberties. CUrrently the statue can be seen outside the Palazzo Veechio.
