George Segal

George Segal was an American sculpture widely known for his pop art movement. His works are life size and outstanding to observe. Something unique Segal did was use bandages for his artworks and plaster over them. The most amazing thing about Segal's work is that all his figures look like they are trying to complete daily activities like getting out of bed, walking, waiting at a stop light, and having a conversation. It feels almost as if you want to break the people out of their plaster shells. The image above is a sculpture that I felt really encompassed the talent of Segal and portrays how we look in every day living without even thinking about it.
