Vik Muniz began is sculpting career in the late 1980s but eventually became more interested in drawing and photography. He intended to create bold, deceiving images by using unusual but everyday materials like dust, diamonds, ketchup, caviar, wire, sugar, chocolate, and even garbage. He is well-known for his pictures of chocolate, where he used chocolate syrup to create detailed images.
