Perseus and the Gorgon is a marble sculpture that was made in 1902 by Camille Claudel. It is the only large marble sculpture made by the artist. It shows him beheading Medusa and looking at her through his shield to avoid looking in her eyes. This sculpture took 4 years to complete and as it stands today, the shield is not there anymore.
