David Smith

David Smith was an American sculptor and painter. He is best known though for his large steel sculptures. The piece of work that I am most fascinated with by Smith was the Hudson River Landscape. This sculpture could be found in the Whitney Museum of Art, New York. I find this piece to be to be so fascinating because it is completely made out of steel and is quite large standing at approximately 48 x 72 x 17 inches.
