Vik Muniz

Vik Muniz was born in Brazil in 1961. He is an artist an photographer, who creates things out of everyday items. He grew up poor but was accidentally shot by a man in the leg. The man then payed him off not to call the police and he used the money to travel to New York in the early 1980's. He enjoys simplifying things in his art work, such as showing what they are or showing what they are made of. He also stared in a documentary title 'waste land' in 2010. Where he returns back to Brazil to complete a project in order to give back.
