Vik Muniz is a contemporary Brazilian artist. He is best known for his complex photographic works and for using such material as jelly, peanut butter, chocolate, and garbage. In addition he also uses other materials such as spaghetti, sugar, and toys. He recreates historical art work and scenes from pop culture such as using chocolate to make a portrait of Marylin Monroe. In addition, he also used diamonds in other another pieces to depict portraits of famous individuals such as Liz Taylor. He shows the final product in a picture, which explores memory, perception, and the nature of images.
